Our Staff

The MPRC here in Catacamas, Olancho, Honduras is staffed by Jorge Vargas from Panama with his wife, Maryuri Milena Guifarro Rosales from Catacamas, and Dwight and Joanne Tomkins formerly of College Station, TX.

Jorge is a registered Pharmacist who has committed to working in Catacamas, and is currently ministering to the Las Casitas congregation. He and his wife, Maryuri who also works part time at the Center, have one child. Jorge is supported by the MPRC and individuals.

Dwight and Joanne have been married 25 years, with the intent of moving to the overseas mission field since before their marriage in 1984. They have made 13 trips to visit and work in Honduras since 1996 and all 5 of their children have been active in their work in Central America. Their sponsoring congregation is Maple Hill church of Christ , Lebanon, TN which has a longstanding history of involvement and support in Honduras. Dwight & Joanne are supported by many friends and the Metro church in Winter Springs, FL (Orlando area).

Also working with us in the past were Mario and Isabela Alfaro. Mario and Isabela have been married 9 years. They have 3 children. Mario is a graduate of Baxter Institute and Isabela is a professor at Educación Comerciál in Catacamas.
