28 New Christians in December
We have the honor of reporting 28 baptisms in December in Olancho.We're Getting Famous
We had a preacher from Choluteca (on the other side of Honduras) come in to the Center on the 5th of December. Victor Flores started a new congregation in November near Choluteca and heard from one of the preachers here (thanks, Javier) that he could get resources for the new church from us.
So they drove away on a motorcycle with as much as they could carry - everything from a huge box of New Testaments to tracts for door to door campaigns and crayons and pencils for the children.
Thank you for allowing us to serve others.
Food Distribution
Several churches came together at the MPRC to make and distribute
food packets for indigent families in Olancho, Honduras
who had been effected by the problems from the torrential rains.
The money for the making of around 250 food packets came from
Northridge church of Christ in Texas.
This money came through EBH
(Escuela Biblica Honduras)
and a committee headed by Hugo Espinal.
Then more money was given by churches in Oklahoma
(including McAlester) for 500 more packets.
This was overseen by Jorge Vargas and Raynard Screws for the MPRC.
We love to see efforts like this because they benefit the brothers and sisters in need of the help, those who have been very generous in the giving congregations, and the people who get together to do the repackaging and distribution.
