Bibles for All

The distribution of God's Word is an important part of the work we do here at the Mission Point Resource Center in Catacamas, Honduras. We feel that the Bible is as necessary to a Christian as a rudder is to a boat. Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is God-breathed
and is useful for teaching, rebuking,
correcting and training in righteousness,
so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped
for every good work.

Cerepa, an addiction recovery facility run by Predisan, received 30 New Testaments one Sunday while the congregation Iglesia de Cristo, Barrio el Colegio, Catacamas was leading a worship service for the inmates and their families.

While giving New Testaments to a group of 40 students at a local high school, the people handing them out were asked by several teachers for Bibles as well. 105 more New Testaments were delivered to the high school just for the teachers. Three families receiving Bibles at a local church

Our most important outlet for the Bibles is to the local churches and the preachers. We have given NTs to more than 5 different congregations and have been blessed to be able to give over 300 New Testaments in total to those interested in them. The picture here is of three families receiving their first ever Bible.

One of the great passions of the Restoration is that every person should read the Bible for himself and understand it, so that he can stand on his own two feet and not be swayed by false doctrine or teachers who desire to lead him astray. We actively support that passion by distributing New Testaments and Bibles as we are able. While full Bibles are difficult to get and expensive (both to buy, but even more to ship), we have been blessed with a quantity of New Testaments. These we have been distributing and using to reach out to many different groups. José with songbooks

We have had money donated to buy Bibles and have purchased 144 that have been delivered to an address in the United States. They will be transported to Honduras in suitcases. We want to supply each family in the churches here with one full Bible and each individual Christian with a New Testament. Donating a complete Bible costs only $2.25.

As a side note, we have also been giving Spanish songbooks to congregations in the Olancho area, that we purchased and had transported by a returning missionary. These songbooks stay in the church buildings for use each Sunday. This photo shows Juan Mondragon with the 15 songbooks he recieved for the church in San Francisco de Becerra.
